Positron emission mammography (PEM) is a 3D molecular breast imaging tool The images are acquired using a machine similar to the mammography machine Images are taken in CC & MLO Each requires between 5-8 min It can detect lesion small as 1.5 mm diameter . It is a good alternative to all MRI indications especially in Overweight patients
